New: 3D Thermal Bonding for Active Wear
That clean and seamless look
While garments made of thermal bonding won’t ever replace garments made the traditional way via sewing, there’s a huge market for them because of how they look, feel and perform. They look very clean with minimal amount of seams, and can provide extra support where needed.
Making a garment via thermal bonding is a delicate process where you need to carefully match machines types, fabrics and adhesives. Without the right formula, your garment is not likely to fit well or last very long.
So what is 3D Bonding?
It’s our latest development in the world of thermal bonding. It’s basically bonding over a 3D mould that follows the shape of the garment. This as opposed to traditional bonding which is done on a flat surface. While we won’t discontinue traditional bonding on flat surface, there’s a good case for bonding over 3D shapes which follow our body forms. What we’re doing is pressing the adhesive into the garment in a shape that resembles the form of our body.

Is 3D Bonding already on the market?
While our partner factory has the patent pending for the 3D Bonding machinery, there is no single product on the market yet made by 3D bonding. There is no manufacturer anywhere worldwide yet that has the technology, other than our partner factory in Fujian. The first samples are now rolling out and mass production will start within several months.

What will the garments look like?
They will have a nice seamless look with a nice sculpted shape. All seams can be covered so that no single seam will rub the skin. You can apply this to tops & bottoms for both men’s & women’s apparel. A thermal bonded armhole can be made following the exact curve of the armhole for smooth results. A waistband can be made to look natural and seamless as in the below images:
